I am a front end web designer who works especially well with individuals or organizations that specialize in photography, design, or other visual media.
I have hand coded many projects, but my focus is designing/developing with WordPress. In 2019, I launched The William and Ruby Hinson Photo Archive, a WordPress site to exhibit the digitized images from the collection I inherited from my parents. I digitize and develop content for The Archive galleries, blog, and the online store, updating it almost daily.
At the Archive, I maintain a slide collection of 1000+ slides from the mid twentieth century, some of which have been converted to digital files and made available for digital download online. My digital download site, called Our Kodachrome Years, is an on-going project on Etsy.com.
Originally, I began my studies in web design to further my interest in creating visual archives and making them available to the public through innovative technology. But then my passion for web design took over. In June 2017, I completed my education in Front End Web Design through San Diego Continuing Education. I have developed a web framework, FreshPlate, with 3 other graduates of the program.
